K.D.'s Music Collection

This is about 90% of my physical music collection. Most of the items were thrifted or purchased from record shops, but a handful were gifted to me or purchased new, and an even smaller number are my originals that I grew up with. You can select different filters on the left to navigate through decades, genres, and formats. The favorites section contains breakout pages for some of my favorite albums including an interactive track listing and some other fun surprises. It will continue growing as I add pages for other albums, so check back often!

The very first CD I ever received was Baby One More Time by Britney Spears, which I got for my 11th birthday. I still remember walking to school with my friends and hearing about Britney Spears for the very first time. Her singles were playing all over L.A.'s radio stations including STAR 98.7 with Ryan Seacrest, KROQ 106.7 with Carson Daly, and Radio Disney, but I didn't know who she was until a friend said she asked for her CD for her birthday. I jumped on the bandwagon and cleaned up at that birthday, getting two copies of Baby One More Time, All Saints, and The Rugrats Movie Soundtrack. My tastes haven't changed too much since then!

Images are either my own or provided by Discogs. It's one of my favorite resources for music. Most albums have detailed information about their pressing and production, as well as scans of liner notes and other inserts. I catalog most of my collection there and use the Discogs app while shopping to make sure I'm buying something at a fair price. I'm working on scanning my booklets and inserts to replace some of the lower quality images.
